GRADUATE CREDIT from TRINITY UNIVERSITY
FEE: $125 per credit hour
Teachers in any school district may register for one, two,
or three graduate credits from Trinity
University. For each credit, attendance at 10 clock hours of class time and the satisfactory
completion of an assignment is
credits earned are used for non-degree purposes and
are applicable to salary increments and recertification requirements in
Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
Maryland Continuing Professional Development Credits
Maryland teachers may apply for one or two Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits through the Kennedy Center’s CETA program. Each credit requires attendance at 15 clock hours of workshop/course time during one school year, plus the satisfactory completion of an assignment. (Montgomery County requires that all clock hours take place outside of the duty day.)
Course Title: Using the Arts in Education. Select 15 clock hours of class time in one school year (September–May).
How to apply:
Step 1: Complete the Kennedy Center credit application below and submit payment (graduate credit only) to the Kennedy Center by Friday December 1, 2017.
Step 2: Complete and submit assignments to the Kennedy Center by Friday, April 6, 2018. Assignment information will be provided once the application has been submitted.
Hours earned for graduate credit through Trinity
University or re-certification points/credit earned through participating school
districts may also be applied toward the CETA Certificate of Study.
