Your school is invited to apply for participation in the Get on the Bus
program, a DC School and Community Initiatives project inspired by America’s Promise Alliance.
Get on the Bus supports
attendance of students from Title I schools to attend a Kennedy Center school day performance. The Get on the Bus program can provide support for a group of up to 50 (includes students and
chaperones) to attend a Kennedy Center performance inclusive of costs for tickets and bus transportation or for a group of up to 100 (includes students and chaperones) to attend a Kennedy Center performance, inclusive of tickets only. If a group would like to purchase more tickets to serve its entirety, the Kennedy Center will reserve tickets on the group’s behalf and invoice the group for the extra tickets after the performance.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with support honored on a first-come, first served basis
and until funding for the program is exhausted. We can only accept one application per school.
Detailed information about eligible performances may be found in the 2016-2017 Kennedy Center Performances for School Groups brochure. You may also review the performances online by visiting www.kennedy-center.org/schoolbrochure.
Once you have completed and submitted the following application, you will receive notification concerning the status of your request within three weeks after your submission.
